To extend the life of the battery and help reduce the chance of over-discharging it, we recommend fully charging the battery before each use of the bicycle. Charging the battery after short rides does not cause damage, and in fact, enhances the life of the battery.
Properly maintain the battery by keeping it fully charged when between uses of up to two weeks apart. Read all battery instructions in this manual, and download and read the battery manufacturer’s manual, which is linked at www.bluejaybicycles.com/ownersmanual.
