Step 1: Before unpacking the bike, verify that you have received the desired size and color.
Step 2: Open the box from the narrow end and slide the bike (in its cardboard tray) out of it. Remove the packaging material. Ensure that all pieces are included in the package including the bicycle, manual, assembly tool kit, charger, pedals, keys, and battery.
Step 3: Rotate the handlebar approximately ninety degrees so it is perpendicular to the front wheel, top tube, and seat. Center the handlebar and properly secure its hardware.
Step 4: Check the tightness of the front wheel. For more information, please refer to the General Information (Section 2.0) of the manual.
Step 6: Install the pedals. The left and right pedals are marked “L” and “R” and must be installed on the corresponding left and right cranks. See Assembly Instructions (Section 3.3) of the manual.
Step 7: Check the tire pressure. The recommended pressure is 50-60 PSI. For more information, please see the Tire Inflation (Section 6.2) of the manual.
Step 8: Set the desired seat height. Open the seat post lever, raise or lower the saddle and seat post, and secure the lever to lock the seat post in place so it cannot move.
Step 9: Install the battery. The battery slides in and out from the right side of the battery mount on the frame. Ensure that the battery snaps in and is locked securely in place. While the battery is almost fully charged, it will need to be plugged in to “wake up” after shipping. (Section 4.0) of the manual.
Step 10: Read the Owner’s Manual and the “Before You Take Flight” insert. Take time to read, understand, and follow all procedures and instructions.
