The Bluejay Premiere and Premiere Lite model is considered to be a “Class 1 electric bicycle", which is also known as a low-speed pedal-assisted electric bicycle, or a pedelec.
The Bluejay Premiere and Premiere Lite are equipped with a 350-watt Bafang motor that provides assistance only when someone is pedaling, and ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches a speed of 20 miles per hour.
Laws vary state by state, but in general Class 1 e-bikes are permitted to be ridden anywhere that traditional bikes are allowed. Please check the laws for your area, obey all guidelines and ride safely.
